I want to share the songs I've been listening to a lot recently. Hooray!
Loney, Dear - "I Am John"
Swedish poppiness Loney, Dear just got signed to Sub Pop, and I predict that they will be a hit here in the stateses.
Vince Guaraldi Trio - "Skating"
AAAAH. Jazz so smooooth and light! But not cheesy? How do they do it? The answer lies in Snoopy.
The Congos - "Open Up The Gate"
I've never really been into reggae, but oh my god this album is incredible. Powerful, intensely religious grooves, with incredible vocals. And that otherwordly echoey production by Lee "Scratch" Perry.
Cora Vaucaire - "Complainte de la Butte"
Okay, so while enjoying this song might label me "queer", I don't mind, because it's great. I got it from a compilation from the library. Library music is great! Chanson is great.
The Futureheads - "Skip To The End"
If you don't like this song you're not my friend. Those harmonies!
If you listen to all of those songs and don't like at least one, I'll give you a dollar.
